Preschool Information
Christ the King Lutheran Preschool is a high quality, Christian Preschool in Newbury Park, CA. We offer full and half day programs year round to children ages 2 1/2 through Kindergarten. We have an excellent Kindergarten Readiness Program, Small Class Sizes, Enriching Curriculum, Weekly Chapel Times, and a Beautiful, Newly Built Campus.

Hours
Our school is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
We offer full time care up to 10 hours per day. Children cannot be at school beyond 10 hours.
Our Half day program is from 8:45 - 12: 30
Both our full and half day programs are available 2, 3 and 5 days per week.
Age Requirements
Children must be a minimum of 2 ½ to enroll at Christ the King. We will work with families to finish the potty training process if it is already started. Children may attend school if they are already using pull-ups. We do not accept children in diapers.
Class sizes
Our class sizes do not exceed 16 children and each class has two fully qualified teachers.

Lunches
Lunches are sent from home. The preschool offers a lunch program 3 - 4 times each month which is optional. The cost for the lunch program varies depending on the menu, but it is usually $3.00 - $4.00 per meal.
Snacks
The preschool provides snacks with milk or juice for the children each morning and afternoon. Parents are encouraged to sign-up to bring snacks in monthly, but it is not required. Parents typically provide a treat to celebrate their child’s birthday during our morning snack time.

We offer extended hourly care to children enrolled in our half day program on an as needed basis at a rate of $6.00 per hour.

School Events
We love to have fun at Christ the King Preschool!
We host many fun events throughout the school year. The children enjoy activities such as T-shirt painting, Pajama day, Bubble day, School Spirit days, and holiday parties. We also offer water play on hot summer days. We host a Parade and Picnic to celebrate the 4th of July, a Costume Carnival in October, a Christmas Program each December, a Hawaiian Luau during summer, and a Graduation Ceremony for our students moving onto Kindergarten. Additionally, we have many opportunities for parents to get involved in classroom activities or help out with school events.
