Our preschool offers a wonderful blend of educational and play based activities designed to assist children in all areas of their development.
At Christ the King we like to see the children learn through hands-on experiences and we provide them with an endless amount of encouragement as well as the tools to explore and succeed in our daily activities. Our school is filled with materials that will help your child learn and grow such as educational toys, books, games, puzzles, blocks , writing centers, art centers, and much more. We offer weekly chapel times, and daily indoor and outdoor activities. The children in our preschool are exposed to art, music, literature, Science, Math & Reading Readiness. We also place a strong emphasis on socialization, and building a positive self-esteem in each child.
We are blessed to have a lovely, newly built and kid-friendly facility. Each classroom is bright and inviting and arranged specifically to offer an ideal learning environment for young children. Our play yard offers many enriching activities as well, which include a large sandbox, swings, slides, and a fun climbing structure. In addition to swings and slides, we rotate many other gross motor activities in the yard each month such as bikes, cars, and scooters. Our play yard is set up each day with the purpose of being as enriching as the classrooms. For added enrichment our play yard has a book corner, an art table, and building materials available everyday.
Our staff works hard to stay current on the latest trends in Early Childhood Education, and the most up- to-date teaching methods. We constantly change our curriculum in each age group, but also maintain key aspects and methods that we believe work best in nurturing rapid learning in young children. Our teaching methods are exemplified in the many activities we do with our students.
